In memory of Dave Fleetwood

It is always hard to lose a friend under such tragic circumstances. It seems even worse when it is a hunting buddy. Dave began coming to hunt with me and my friend, Scott Tune, in 2001 when he came for 1 day and got a nice 8 pointer. One day turned into three the next year, and as his success continued the stays got longer until he was coming for nearly the first two weeks of every season. I never knew Dave before he started coming to hunt, but over the past 12 years our many experiences together led to what I know was going to be a strong life-long friendship. It has been said that most people are lucky if they have as many as five true friends in their lifetime, and Dave was certainly one of mine. His memory will live on in the woods of one small 200 acre tract in Halifax County, VA.
