John J. Stano Sr., 87, of Albrightsville, died Saturday, November 2 in his home.

He was the husband of the late Arlene R. (Zielinski) Stano.

Born in Newark, NJ he was a son of the late George and Mary (Pinchot) Stano.

He had worked for Wonder Bread-Hostess in East Brunswick, NJ for over twenty years, retiring in 1988.

John was a US Army veteran and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in New Brunswick, NJ.

He is survived by two sons, John Stano Jr. of Blakeslee and Matthew Stano of Manlius, NY; three daughters, Karen Luckey of Stillwater, NJ, Marian Cohen of East Brunswick, NJ and Jeanne Stano of Milford; thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 7 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Gilbert. Interment will be in Lake Nelson Memorial Park in Piscataway, NJ. at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

The Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, is in charge of arrangements.
