Obituary for Tommy J. Ziegenfus

Tommy J. Ziegenfus, 59, of Saylorsburg died Monday, April 14 in his home.

He was the husband of Diane (Knitter) Ziegenfus. They would have observed their 40th wedding anniversary on May 19.

Born in Lehighton, he was a son of the late John and Lillian (Shoemaker) Ziegenfus.

He was an auto body painter, working for himself and also for Frantz Brothers, Inc. in Kunkletown for over ten years. He also loved going to car shows.

He was a member of Mt. Eaton Church in Saylorsburg.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Jody Honey and her husband Lee John of Kunkletown; two sisters, Janet Gower of Kunkletown and Joan Frank of Palmerton; three brothers, James Ziegenfus of Saylorsburg, Weldon Ziegenfus of Palmerton and Brooks Ziegenfus of Gilbert; four grandchildren, Austin, Ryan, Justin and Jonathan Honey, and by his dog, Daisy Mae. He was preceded in death by a sister, Elaine Hawk.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 18 from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, with Rev. Douglas Hayes officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Mt. Eaton Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
