Obituary for Nancy B. Sherer (Andrews)

Nancy B. Sherer, 71, of Kresgeville passed away on Monday, July 21 at home surrounded by her family.

She was the widow of Roger L. Sherer Sr.

Born in Kresgeville, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Edith (Eckley) Andrews.

Nancy graduated from Pleasant Valley High School in 1961, which was their first graduating class. She later graduated from Allentown Business School.

She had worked as a bookkeeper for the former Roland & Roland, Inc. in Stroudsburg and also in the state sales tax office in Stroudsburg.

She and her beloved husband were campground hosts at Hickory Run State Park for three years.

She was a lifetime member of Jerusalem United Church of Christ in Trachsville.

Nancy loved crafts, especially knitting and embroidery.

She is survived by two sons, Roger L. Sherer Jr. and his wife Sheila of Kunkletown and David R. Sherer and his wife Elizabeth of Muncy; a daughter, Cinda M. Nothstein and her husband Matthew of Palmerton; two brothers, William Andrews and his wife Maria of Lehighton and Robert Andrews and his wife Marie of Kunkletown; a sister, Raylene Kuntz and her husband Kenneth of Lehighton and five grandchildren, Alicia, Justin, Julia, Eric and Kayla.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 23 from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, with Rev. Kathryn Foster officiating. Burial will be in Dotters Corner Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.
