Irene R. Siekierka, 82, of Northampton died Friday, August 29 in her home.

She was the wife of Donald C. Siekierka. They had observed their 60th wedding anniversary in July.

Born in Scranton, she was a daughter of the late Hillary and Ella (Lungren) Ashton. She was a 1949 graduate of Scranton Tech High School.

IN addition to her husband. she is survived by a daughter, Deb Suranofsky and her husband Gary of Northampton; a grandson, Aaron Suranofsky of Tampa, FL and her two cats, Callie and Chloe. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Pauline and Mildred and by two brothers, James and Hank.

Memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family. Cremation will take place in the H. G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lehigh Valley Hospice, 2166 S. 12th St., Allentown, PA 18103.
