Obituary for Kenneth K. "Skip" Kresge Sr.

Kenneth K. "Skip" Kresge Sr., 70, of Saylorsburg died Monday, September 15 in his home.

He was the husband of Barbara (Bunting) Kresge of Stroudsburg.

Born in Gilbert, he was a son of Ida (Burger) Kresge of Gilbert and the late Morris Kresge.

Skip had worked as a maintenance man in the Pleasant Valley School District for fifteen years, retiring in 2010 and previously he had worked for Burkett and Buzzard Plumbing and Heating in Stroudsburg for twenty five years. Prior to that he had worked at Kulps Foundry in East Stroudsburg.

Skip enjoyed NASCAR racing.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a daughter, Sherry Knowlton of Clifford; a son, Kenneth K. Kresge Jr. of Stroudsburg; two brothers, Albert Kresge of Gilbert and Jim Kresge of Allentown; two sisters, Ann Moretz of Saylorsburg and Myra Koehler of Saylorsburg and four grandchildren, Sarah, Samantha, Selena and Brad. He was preceded in death by a brother John.

Memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family. Cremation will take place in the H. G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.

The Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, is in charge of arrangements.
