Garry A. Ferro, 61, of Saylorsburg died Saturday, September 20 in his home.

He was the husband of Mariann (Kelly) Ferro. They had observed their 32nd wedding anniversary in November.

Born in Brooklyn, NY he was a son of the late Anthony and Esther (Ugliano) Ferro.

He had been a barge captain for Kirby Transportation (tugboats) in Staten Island, NY for 34 years.

He was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Gilbert.

Garry was the Sergeant at Arms for the Blue Ridge Cherry Valley Rod & Gun Club.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Kate Houck and her husband Chip of Brodheadsville; two sons, Matthew Ferro of Saylorsburg and Craig Ferro of Easton and two sisters, Debra Nastri of Oceanside, NY and Karen Horowitz of Rockville Centre, NY.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, September 23 from Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Quinnan as celebrant. Cremation will follow in the H. G. Smith Crematory. A viewing will be held on Monday, September 22 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville.
