Obituary for Nelson E. Deubler

Nelson E. Deubler, 79, of Stroudsburg died Wednesday, October 8 in the Brookmont Health Care Center, Effort.

He was the husband of the late Genevieve "Jean" (Barilla) Deubler.

Born in East Stroudsburg he was a son of the late Kenneth and Laura (Kresge) Deubler.

Nelson had worked as a cabinet maker for Effort Woodcraft for over twenty years.

He was a US Army veteran. Nelson, an avid bowler, was the leading bowler in Monroe County for quite a few years.

He is survived by two daughters, Barbara LaBar and her husband Scott of Stroudsburg and Catherine Kemmerer and her husband Karl of Slatedale; a brother, Leslie Deubler of Effort, and two grandchildren, Scott LaBar Jr. and Thomas LaBar. He was preceded in death by a brother Alvin Deubler.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, October 13 from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville. Private interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery in Appenzell.
