Valerie J. Smith, 67, of Palmerton, died Saturday, October 18 in Weatherwood Nursing Home, Weatherly.

She was the wife of David M. Smith.

They celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary on October 13 of this year

Born in Valhalla, NY, she was the daughter of the late Fredrick L. and the late Elsajean (Geyer) Stahl.

She had worked as a Dental Assistant in Easton, PA. Prior to that she had worked as a security guard for 20 years.

She enjoyed photography and pipe organ music.

Valerie was a member of the Pleasant Valley Assembly of God Church in Brodheadsville.


She is preceded in death by her daughter, Kathleen and her brother, Greg.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 22 at the Pleasant Valley Assembly of God Church, Brodheadsville, with Rev. Scott Carver and Rev. Joe Trovato officiating. There will be a visitation on Wednesday at 10:30 AM until the time of the service.
