Obituary for Glenn A. Borger

Glenn A. Borger, 78, of Saylorsburg passed away on November 7, 2014 under hospice care.

He was the son of the late Albert and Dorothy (Smith) Borger of Palmerton, PA. He was a graduate of Palmerton High School.

In the past, Glenn worked at Decker's Turkey Farm, for the Pleasant Valley School District as a bus driver and he also held the office of District Magistrate for 18 years and owned Borger's Excavating. At the time of his death, Glenn was the owner of Borger's Garage and Borger's Speedway in Saylorsburg.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ruth (Smith Borger; two sons, Jim Borger and his wife Shirley of Saylorsburg and Clay Borger of Saylorsburg; a daughter, Susan Perkins and her husband Craig of Kirksville, MO; four grandchildren, Brian Weiss and wife Jayne of Souderton, Zachary and Jeremy Perkins of Kirksville and Breanna Borger of Sciota; two great grandchildren, Tyler and Austin Weiss and one brother, Charles Borger of Tannersville. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert A. Borger and by a sister, Peggy Jernigan.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 15 in the Faith Hall at Mt. Eaton Church in Saylorsburg with Rev. Douglas Hayes officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to VNA/Hospice of Monroe County, 502 VNA Road, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301.
