Obituary for John "Howie" Weil

John "Howie" Weil, 75, of Albrightsville, PA and formerly of Hudson County, NJ died Sunday, November 30 in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, Wilkes Barre, PA.

He was the husband of Emily (Olson) Weil.

Born in Jersey City, NJ he was a son of the late Howard and Veronica (Dunn) Weil.

A Korean War Army veteran, Howie was a member of the American Legion Post 0221 in Ridgefield, NJ.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Christopher Olson of Toms River, NJ; daughter, Desiree Burger of Albrightsville and Donna Donahue in NJ; three brothers, Bruce Weil of Lake Parsippany, NJ, Stephen Weil of Weehauken, NJ and Gregory Weil of Seattle, WA; thirteen grandchildren, Jessica, Eric, Katherine, Bree-Anne, Brittney, Merle, Devin, Dominic, Carissa, Nicholas, Chris, Scott and Shawn and four great grandchildren, Jericho, Jeremiah, Aiden and Aiden.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, December 4 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, PA with American Legion services at 4:00 PM. Cremation will follow in the H. G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.
