William G. Doscher, 79, of Albrightsville, died Monday, January 19 in the Lehigh Center, Macungie.

He was the husband of Mary (Glueckert) Doscher. They had observed their 55th wedding anniversary in April.

Born in Glen Cove, NY he was a son of the late William and Marie (Scherer) Doscher.

He had worked as a salesman for Entenmanns in Bay Shore, NY for over 30 years. He was a member of the Teamsters Union.

William was an Army veteran of the Korean War.

He was of the Catholic faith and a member of the Knights of Columbus. While living in NY, he was a former lifeguard at Jones Beach. Here in PA, he served on the Board of Directors of Towamensing Trails and was also a Compliance Officer.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Carol Tropp and her husband Craig of Baldwin, NY and Lynn Catalini of Baldwin and four grandchildren, Ashleigh, Nicholas, Dylan and Ryan.

Memorial services will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, January 22 from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, with Rev. Michael Quinnan officiating. Cremation will have taken place in the H. G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 2:00 PM until the time of the service.
