Obituary for Earl L. Miller Sr.

Earl L.  Miller Sr.
Earl L. Miller Sr., 84, of Stroudsburg, died Friday, February 27 in the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg.

He was the husband of the late Marie (Wescott) Miller.

Born in Reeders, he was a son of the late Percival and Mabel (Hay) Miller.

Earl had worked at Paterson Kelly in East Stroudsburg for forty years, retiring in 2003. He was also a self-employed mason for thirty years. He taught adult masonry classes at the Monroe County Vo-Tech in Bartonsville for ten years. He was also a water dowser and he worked numerous years at the West End Fair in Gilbert.

Earl was a member of the McMichaels United Methodist Church. He loved hunting, especially in Potter County.

He was a US Army veteran.

Surviving are two sons, Earl L. Miller Jr. and his wife Margaret of Hamilton Square and Todd S. Miller of Hamilton Square; eight grandchildren, Damon Miller and his wife Anya in FL, Matthew Metzler and his wife Krystal of Lancaster, Brandon Miller and his wife Taryn of Canadensis, Travis Miller of Syracuse, NY, Derreck Miller and his fiancé' Maureen of East Stroudsburg, Jessica Westover and her husband Brandon of Sciota and Zachary and Cody Miller, both of Hamilton Square; seven great grandchildren, Emily Pelletier, Diana Metzler, Grace Miller, Jayden Miller, Isabella Miller, Mattisyn Miller and Lexi Nunes and her husband Brian and two great great grandchildren, Spencer and Everett.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, March 3 from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, with Rev. Edward Unangst officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery, East Stroudsburg. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
