Obituary for Gerald E. Kresge

Gerald E. Kresge, 78, of Gilbert, died Wednesday, March 4 in his home after a four year battle with cancer.

He was the husband of Nancy (Raub) Kresge. They would have observed their 54th wedding anniversary next month.

Born in Gilbert, he was a son of the late Maurice and Ethel (McCulley) Kresge.

Gerald was a shift supervisor for PP & L for twenty five years before retiring in 1994. He also served in the United States Navy for six years.

Gerald was an outdoorsman. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed hiking on the state game lands. He was a lifetime member of the NRA. He loved animals, adopting many. He enjoyed motorcycle riding. He loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Wanda Baum and her husband Scott of Bernville, Serena Cameron and her husband Gary of New Milford and Wendy Kresge in NY; two sisters, Ruth Cyr of Gilbert and Marlene Boeman in FL; four grandchildren, Scott Baum and his wife Beth in NY, Candace Lilley and her husband Will of Fleetwood, Audrey Cameron of New MIlford and Garrett Cameron of New Milford and three great grandchildren, Matthew, Alliah and William Lilley. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Martin.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Gilbert Cemetery.

The Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, is in charge of arrangements.
