Sadie M. Downey, 90, of Brodheadsville, died Saturday, March 21 in her granddaughter's home in Bartonsville.

She was the wife of the late Patrick Downey.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Amelia (Coker) Rosenbloom.

She had been a waitress at The Drug and Chemical Club, a Gentlemen's Club in NYC, for ten years. She also made bullets during WW II.

She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Gilbert and the West End Senior Citizens.

She is survived by three sons, Kenneth Downey and his wife Irma of Ithaca, NY, Kevin Downey and his wife Lori of Tamarack, FL and Ronald Downey and his wife Denise of Brodheadsville. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Mathews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 26 from Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Gilbert with Rev. Michael Quinnan as celebrant. Burial will be in Buena Vista Cemetery, Brodheadsville. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville.
