Viola E. Gower, 94, of Kunkletown, died Monday, May 11 in the Mahoning Valley Nursing & Rehab Center, Lehighton.

She was the wife of the late Emmett Gower.

Born in Kunkletown, she was a daughter of the late Nathan Wilson and Mabel (George) Hawk.

She was a member of St. Matthew's United Church of Christ in Kunkletown.

Surviving are three sons, Lowell Emmett Gower and his wife Linda and Curtis Lee Gower, and his wife Kay, both of Andreas and Gary Lewis Gower and his wife Diana of Palmerton; a brother, Wilbert Hawk of Effort; nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 14 from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville. Burial will be in St. Matthew's Cemetery, Kunkletown. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
