Obituary for Delbert S. Buck

Delbert S. Buck, 88, of Kresgeville, passed away on Sunday, May 31 in his home surrounded by his loving family.

Delbert was the loving husband of Gloria (Adams) Buck. They celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary in August.

Born in Little Washington on October 22, 1926, he was the son of the late Edwin and Sadie (Serfass) Buck. Delbert graduated from Polk High School in 1945. He worked at Ronson in Delaware Water Gap for 27 & 1/2 years and then as the head custodian in the Pleasant Valley School District for 17 & 1/2 years. He was a member of the International Assscoiation of Machinists, the PSERS, the Grundsow Lodge Nommer Sexa and the Blue Mt. Fish and Game.

He was a member of Salem UCC in Gilbert. Delbert enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and watching and feeding the hummingbirds.

In addition to his wife Gloria, he is survived by two daughters, Marion Aaron of Slatington and Deborah Raseley and her husband Jon of Saylorsburg. Other survivors include six grandchildren, Travis, Adam, Lisa, Heather, Davlynn and Marcie; five great grandchildren, Courtney, Gage, Gunner, Bret and Anthony; one great great grandchild, Ashland; a son-in-law, Gregory Aaron of Palmerton and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Minerva Slatern, Alverta Harley and Margaret Young.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 5 from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, with Rev. David Schnaars officiating. Burial will be in Gilbert Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Friday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
