Ericc A. Counterman, 44, of Tannersville, and formerly of East Stroudsburg, died Sunday, May 31 in Allentown.

He was the husband of Susan (O'Neill) Counterman. They would have observed their 5th anniversary on June 19.

Born in East Stroudsburg, he was a son of Beverly (Counterman) Wood of Philadelphia and the late Jerry Adams. He lived in East Stroudsburg for the majority of his life.

Ericc's hobby was helping people. He was always there when you needed him.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons, Eric A. Counterman Jr. and Anthony Counterman, both of East Stroudsburg.; two daughters, Jericca Megrosky of Scranton and Carli Jo Swindell in Michigan; a grandson, Saheim Aaron of Scranton; his step-father, Benjamin Wood of Philadelphia; three aunts, Linda Bush and her husband Willard of East Stroudsburg, Bonnie Devore of Gilbert and Dorthea Reichard of Albrightsville and an uncle, Robert Counterman. He was preceded in death by a sister, Destiny Lynn and by an uncle Jack Devore.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Monday, June 8 from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, with Rev. David Felker officiating. Cremation will follow in the H. G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg. Burial of his cremated remains will take place at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 12 in the Stroudsburg Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Monday from 2:00 PM until the time of the service.
