LaRue M. Borger, 82, of Kunkletown died Friday, June 26 in the VNA/Hospice House, East Stroudsburg.

She was the wife of the late Kermit K. Borger.

Born in Kunkletown, she was a daughter of the late Almer and Bertha (Hawk) Kresge.

She had worked at Lee Fashions in Kunkletown for over fifteen years before retiring in 1977.

LaRue liked to sew, crochet and garden. She enjoyed bingo and loved going to the casinos. She liked to shop and eat and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was a member of St. Matthew's United Church of Christ in Kunkletown.

LaRue is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Borger and his wife Gail of Kunkletown and Gary Borger and his wife Perma of Kunkletown; a daughter, Wanda Wiswall and her companion Michael Kish of Stroudsburg; seven sisters, Dorthea Kresge, Esther Kuntzman,, Cinda Kresge, Betty Snyder, Sandra Kresge and Darlene Beers, all of Kunkletown and Grace Everett of Palmerton; two brothers, Sterling Kresge and Delbert "Butch" Kresge, both of Kunkletown; eight grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Wilbur Kresge.

Graveside services from St. Matthew's Cemetery in Kunkletown will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no viewing.
