Obituary for Roger C. Sadler

Roger C. Sadler, 80, of Saylorsburg, PA and formerly of Woodbridge Township, NJ, died Tuesday, July 28 in St. Luke's Hospice House, Bethlehem.

He was the husband of Eunice (Williston) Sadler. They had observed their 57th wedding anniversary in June.

Born in Eaton, OH, he was a son of the late Harold George and Dorothy (Byrne) Sadler.

He had worked as a commercial artist for the Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church in New York City for twenty five years, retiring in 2000.

Roger was a US Army veteran and a member of the Pleasant Valley Presbyterian Church in Brodheadsville.

He was very active in the different churches he belonged to throughout his life and he also taught water color at The Older Adult Learning Center in East Stroudsburg and at the prison in Easton.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Harold George Sadler of Saylorsburg, David Andrew Sadler of Holmdel, NJ and Kevin Roger Sadler of Colonia, NJ; a daughter, Karen Lynn Sadler of Dover, MA; a brother, Arvine Sadler of Sayreville, NJ; a sister Francella Jamison of Clark, NJ and eleven grandchildren.

Funeral services will beheld at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 3 from the Pleasant Valley Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jonathan Williams officiating. Burial will be inn Buena Vista Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a cancer research agency of one's choice.
