Obituary for Robert P. Krock

Robert P. Krock, 66, of Brodheadsville, died Friday, Sept. 25, in Liberty Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Allentown, where for the last 23 days he was a patient under hospice care.

Born in East Stroudsburg, he was the son of the late William and Pauline (Miller) Krock.

He belonged to the Zion United Lutheran church in Brodheadsville.

Robert worked in custodial maintenance in the Pleasant Valley School District before retiring in 2010. Prior to that he worked as a forklift operator for Banner Metals in Stroudsburg for over 25 years.

He attended Pleasant Valley High School and was an avid football player. He enjoyed watching football and nascar racing.

Robert was a member of the American Legion Post 927 in Gilbert. He proudly served his country as a Marine in the 3rd. Marine Corps Division during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant and received his Purple Heart after being wounded in February of 1970.

He is survived by a daughter, Tammy Nederostek and boyfriend Danny of Sciota; two brothers, Richard Krock and wife Eileen of Kunkletown, Thomas Krock and wife Darlene of Sciota; three sisters, Ruth Rinaldi and husband Michael of Easton, Amy Green and husband Kevin of Freeland, Mary Krock and boyfriend Bob of Sciota. He is also survived by his caring former wife Carol Krock, and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 29, at 11;00 AM from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, with Rev. Melot officiating. Viewings will be held on Tuesday Sept 29, at 10:00AM until the time of the service, and on Monday Sept. 28, from 6:30 PM-8:00 PM at the Kresge Funeral Home. Burial will take place following the service at Buena Vista Cemetery, Brodheadsville.
