Lillian C. Borger, 104, of Kunkletown died Thursday, November 5 in the home of her nephew, Leonard Borger.

She was the wife of the late Raymond W. Borger.

Born in Smith Gap, she was a daughter of the late Steward and Elmira (Green) Smith.

Lillian had worked at the Sand Ridge Blouse Co. in Kunkletown for many years and also at some other area blouse mills. She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.

Lillian was a member of St. Matthew's United Church of Christ in Kunkletown and the Kunkletown Volunteer Fire Co. Auxiliary. She was a past member of the Eldred Township Historical Society. She loved baking and playing cards.

She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Lillian was preceded in death by four brothers, Preston, Charles, Granton and S. Allison Smith and by four sisters, Mamie Everett, Bertha Smith, Florence Borger and Helen Borger.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 7 from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, with Rev. Suzanne Brooks-Cope officiating. Burial will be in St. Matthew's Cemetery, Kunkletown. A viewing will be held on Saturday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
