Lorraine W. Altemose, 87, of Brodheadsville, died Tuesday March 8 in the Brookmont Health Care Center, Effort.

She was the wife of the late Donald L. Altemose.

Born in East Stroudsburg, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Effie (Woodling) Westcott.

Lorraine was a telephone operator with Bell of PA for 27 years, retiring in 1979. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She was also a member of the Effort United Methodist Church and the Pleasant Valley Choral Society.

Lorraine is survived by a sister, Eleanor Eby of Jeffersonville, IN. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Lee Altemose.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, March 15 from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, with Rev. Robin Fisher officiating. Burial will be in Reeders Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
