Obituary for Franklyn C. Buccino

Franklyn C. Buccino, 85, of Effort died Wednesday, April 20 in Gnaden Huetten Hospital, Lehighton.

Born in Newark, NJ, he was a son of the late F. Charles and Isabella V. (Vaccaro) Buccino.

An electrical engineer and graduate of Seton Hall University, Franklyn was the general manager of sales for the Aromat Corporation in Plainfield, NJ for fifteen years, retiring in 1996.

He was a phenomenal musician, playing jazz and classical piano in addition to popular music from the 1930's and 1940's. He passed his love of music and electronics on to his children. He was a huge New York Yankee fan.

Franklyn was the loving father to four children, Frank Buccino and his wife Sharon of Fort Collins, CO, Steven Buccino and his wife Jeanne of Livermore, CA, Laura Jaeger and her husband Tom of Effort and Joanne Buccino of Effort. He is also survived by a sister, Joyce Fabiano and her husband Len of Cape May, NJ; seven grandchildren, Rayna, Dominick, and Samantha Russo, Clarice and Maryanne Buccino, Carly Jaeger and Kristen DeNooy and five great grandchildren, Kamaliilani, Leilani and Kailani Wetherell, Eva Gooding and Isabella Russo.

Memorial services will be announced at a later date. Cremation will take place in the H. G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.

The Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, is i charge of arrangements.
