Joseph C. Bailey, 56, of East Stroudsburg died Sunday, May 1 in Milford Manor, East Stroudsburg.

Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Ernest and Dorothy Mae (Burgess) Bailey.

He was a self-employed contractor for twenty years.

He was a US Army veteran.

He is survived by a daughter, Alicia Bailey of Stockertown; a brother, Ernest "Butch" Bailey of Easton; two sisters, Sharon Lobb of Marshalls Creek and Sandra Devore of Stroudsburg and two grandchildren, Jamen and Marlee.

No services are planned at this time. Interment will be in Glenside Cemetery in Glenside, PA at the convenience of the family.

The Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, is in charge of arrangements.
