Obituary for Mary E. Diehl (Gower)

Mary E. Diehl, 101, of Bethlehem and formerly of Brodheadsville, died Monday, May 16 in Moravian Village of Bethlehem.

She was the wife of the late Richard Diehl.

Born in Hanover Township, she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Ellen (Fatzinger) Gower.

She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bath. She had also been a member of the West End Fire Co. Auxiliary and the Mineola Grange in Brodheadsville. She had done volunteer work for various other organizations. She enjoyed going to Bingo every Sunday.

She is survived by a sister, Eva Young of Boyertown and numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ellen Heilman and Sadie Mitman and by a brother, Charles Gower.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 25 from St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 206 E. Main St., Bath PA with Rev. Jay Wetzel officiating. Burial will be in Schoenersville Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 10:30 AM until the time of the service in the church.

The Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, is in charge of arrangements.
