Obituary for Douglas Thomas Norlander

Douglas Thomas Norlander, 46, of Kunkletown, died Sunday June 5 in Pocono Medical Center.

He was the husband of Tatiana (Tonn) Norlander. They would have observed their 22nd wedding anniversary on September 18.

Born in Jersey City, NJ, he was the son of the late Richard and Mildred (Lawler) Norlander.

Douglas was an electronics technician as well as a musician for most of his life. He was a founding member of the band Spin Psykill and also a member of the band Ixion Lux. He enjoyed playing the guitar and was a hand gun enthusiast. His passion was producing anything through music or with his hands.

Along with his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons, Steven Norlander of Kunkletown, Devin Norlander or Kunkletown; three daughters, Brenna Norlander of Kunkletown, Kathryn Norlander of Kunkletown, Melody Norlander of Kunkletown; two brothers, Rick Norlander of Sparta, NJ, John Norlander and wife Sherri of Lake Hopatcong, NJ; three sisters, Karin Norlander of Long Pond, Dawn Norlander of Wharton, NJ, Lynda Norlander-Braccini and husband Paul of Marshalls Creek. Along with his father, he was preceded in death by his uncle Wayne Norlander.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday June 10 from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 U.S. 209 Brodheadsville, with Rev. David Felker officiating. A viewing will be held on Friday June 10 from the Kresge Funeral Home at 4:00 PM until the time of the service. Following the service, cremation will take place at the H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.
