Obituary for Richard William Schoch

Richard William Schoch, 74, of Bangor, passed away on Monday June 20 in Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg in Bethlehem.

Born in Stroudsburg, he was a son of the late Charles Edwin and Nola (Willet) Schoch.

He had owned and operated Richard Schoch Masonry in McMichaels for twelve years and in later years he was the supervisor at several large construction sites, mostly in the southeastern United States.

He served in the US Army from 1961 to 1963 stationed in Ansbach, Germany.

A true outdoorsman, Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming and gardening. He was a member of the Slate Belt Shooting Association.

He is survived by a daughter, Sherri Capone of Saylorsburg; a son, Jeffrey Schoch in Germany; three sisters, Jane Beamer in KY, Nancy Pearce in VA and Alice Overpeck of Saylorsburg; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Richard William Schoch Jr.

In accordance with Richard's and the family's wishes, no services are planned at this time. The family asks that you celebrate Richard's life in you own way and remember him for the "country boy" he always wanted to be.

The Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, is in charge of arrangements.
