Francesca Sarnelli, 60, of Albrightsville, passed away Tuesday, June 28 from the VNA/Hospice House of Monroe County, East Stroudsburg.

She was the wife of Gaetano Sarnelli. They would have observed their 31st wedding anniversary in August. They were married in the town of Sala Consilina in Italy on August 8, 1985.

Born in Pertosa, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Paolo and Antonietta (La Mattina) Latronico.

Francesca worked in housekeeping at Split Rock Resort for eleven years. Prior to that she was a loving homemaker and took care of her family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Michael Sarnelli and companion Dawn of Albrightsville, Gianpaolo Sarnelli and daughter-in-law Caitlyn of Albrightsville; step-daughter, Marisa Sarnelli of New York; brother, Antonio Latronico of Italy; two sisters, Michelina Latronico of Italy, Carmela Latronico of Italy; three grandchildren, Gaetano, Kayla, and Joshua.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 2 from Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Gilbert, with Rev. Michael Quinnan as celebrant. Viewings will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, July 1 from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 U.S. 209 Brodheadsville. A viewing will also be held at 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass on Saturday, July 2 in the church. Interment will follow in Buena Vista Cemetery, Brodheadsville.
