Theodore G. “Ted”, “Pop-Pop” Tilwick, 85, of Saylorsburg, passed away peacefully, July 22, 2016 at home with his family by his side. Ted was a loving husband to Marie, “Grace” Tilwick with whom he shared 56 years of marriage. Ted was born April 13, 1931 in Easton, PA and was the son of Witold and Marjorie Tilwick.

Ted lived at Saylors Lake for most of his adult life and in earlier years could often be found doing work at the Pavilion or grounds of his beloved lake. He was a machinist by trade, retiring from the Delaware Joint Toll Bridge Commission. He was also a veteran of the Navy.

Ted was a family man who worked hard all of his life to care for his family and the ones he loved. His family was his first priority in life. A gentle, kind man who could converse with just about anyone. In addition to his wife Marie, he is survived by his three children; son Robert Tilwick and wife Betsy Tilwick of Saylors Lake, daughter Marjorie Schultz of Saylorsburg, and son Frank Tilwick and his wife Lisa Tilwick, as well as six grandchildren, Rebecca Coad and husband Mike Coad of Easton, Jennifer Garcia and husband Alfredo Garcia of Easton, Nick Tilwick and Alyssa Tilwick of DelRay Beach, Florida, and Michael and Christian Tilwick of Saylorsburg, and three great grandchildren, Tyler Coad, Bella and Max Garcia. Ted is also survived by his two brothers, Thomas Tilwick and wife Stella of Palm Harbor, Florida and Richard Tilwick of Arizona, along with many nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

The Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, is in charge of arrangements.
