Obituary for William A. "Bill" Cicatelli

William "Bill" Cicatelli, 80, died on Tuesday, October 25 in the Pocono Health System Hospice House, East Stroudsburg.

He was born in Brooklyn, NY on July 16, 1936.

He leaves behind his beloved wife Marge of 42 years, the last 38 on 3.8 acres of lovely wooded land outside of Brodheadsville. He is also survived by his brother Gary and his wife Diane of Stroudsburg.

A US Army veteran, Bill was employed at Chase Bank in Manhattan in their tax department. He later went on to form his own Fiduciary Tax and Accounting business in 1978.

Active in conservative and traditional Catholic circles, he met some of the seminal figures of the latter part of the last century, Bill Buckley, Archbishop Lefebver and Robert Welch among them. The highlight was running for office on the Buckley for Mayor ticket in 1965.

For the past 30 years he was the coordinator at Holy Nativity Roman Catholic Church in Nazareth. The town scold, he had some 200 letters to the editor.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, October 27 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville. A funeral Mass will be held at Holy Nativity, 423 W. Moorestown Road, Nazareth (Route 512) on Friday, October 28 at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Novitiate, Round Top, NY.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Marge Cicatelli to allay funeral costs and other outstanding debts.
