Michael P. Rex, 52, of Saylorsburg died Tuesday, November 22 in Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg.

He was the husband of Cynthia (Hardman) Rex. They had observed their 29th wedding anniversary in March.

Born in Lehighton, he was a son of Robert and Joyce (Atwell) Rex of Nazareth.

He served in the US Navy for twenty years and then worked as an industrial inspector for Applied Technical Services for over ten years.

Michael was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. He was a video game player and online gamer. He was also a mechanic that enjoyed working on cars and a member of the American Model Airplane Assn. and the West End Wings.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by two sons, Stephen Rex and his fiance' Gina of Saylorsburg and Daniel Rex of Saylorsburg; a brother Jeffrie Rex of Dallas; a sister-in-law, Alice Rex of Benson, AZ and nieces and nephew, Kayla, Ashleigh and Blaine. He was preceded in death by a brother Derek Rex.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, December 11 at 1:00 PM from St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 200 S. Broad St. Nazareth with Rev. David Schaeffer officiating. Cremation will have taken place in the H. G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.
