Obituary for Mary Jane Lucrezi (Williams)

Mary Jane (Williams) Lucrezi, 84, of Saylorsburg died Thursday, February 9 under hospice care in the Golden Living Center, East Stroudsburg.

She was the wife of the late Frank A. Lucrezi Sr.

Born in East Stroudsburg, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Mary (Hartman) Williams.

Mary Jane had worked as a seamstress at various area blouse mills for most of her life.

She was a member of the Neola United Methodist Church, the Blue Ridge Hook and Ladder Co. Ladies Auxiliary in Saylorsburg and the Western Pocono Lions Club. She was honored by the Lions Club as their Lion of the Year in 2011. She was also a member of a quilting club.

Mary Jane was proud of her flower gardens and she was the person responsible for planting the flowers at the Route 209 and Route 115 intersection as part of the Lions Club project.

She is survived by three sons, Frank A. Lucrezi Jr. and his wife Bea of Stroudsburg, Anthony Lucrezi and his wife Karen of East Stroudsburg and Ernest Lucrezi of Beach Lake; a brother, Norman Williams of Old Town, FL; three sisters, Jean Scott and her husband Richard of Bel Air, MD, Agnes Hennet of Bangor and Eddy Schaffer and her husband Richard of Wind Gap; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Thomas, Becky Simes, Jacob Lucrezi, Jesse Lucrezi, Danielle Stack-Sargeant, Shawn Stack, Zachary White and Ashley White; four great grandchildren, Emily Thomas, Gabrielle Olsen, Kaitlyn Olsen and Eliza Sargeant and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Ernest Williams and by four sisters, Helen Lockard, Ada Beegle, Ruth Ann Yetter and Margaret Faulstick.

Memorial services will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, March 25 from Christ Hamilton United Lutheran Church. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.

The Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, is in charge of arrangements.
