Gymane Marion (Meckes) Bush, 87, of Carbondale, passed away on Monday, May 29 in her home.

Born in Long Pond, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Ada (Keiper) Meckes.

She had worked as a CNA at Pleasant Valley Manor in Snydersville for thirty three years before retiring in 2007.

She is survived by a son, Robert Ellsworth and his wife Deborah in GA; four daughters, Suzanne Gromadin of Carbondale, Debroah Hafner and her husband Fred of Effort, Jeanne Devore and her husband Ron of Stroudsburg and Roberta Latallipe and her husband Dale in NH; twelve grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She also raised Christopher Knecht and his wife Amy and Daniel Knecht and his wife Patricia who were like sons to her. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Ellsworth, a son, Brad Ellsworth and by her first great great grandchild, Jace Burns.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, June 1 from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, with Rev. David Felker officiating. Burial will be in Long Pond Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
