Obituary for John Earl Wright

John Earl  Wright
John Earl Wright, 65, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on Saturday, December 16 in his home.

Born in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of the late George Harris and the late Mary Margaret (Mays) Harris.

John was a truck driver as well as a chef at various places throughout his working career.

He was a former member of the Masonic Lodge in New York.

He is survived by a sister, Mary Margaret Allen; his best friend, Denise Hendricks of Blakeslee; nine nieces and nephews, William Slate, Sherlette Wright-Lomax, Dushawn, Mynia, Cyrell, Brenda, Maurice, Katrina, and Damaine. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Doris Wider and Eula Mae Slate, and a brother, Larry Melvin.

A memorial service will be held on a later date at the convenience of the family. Cremation will take place in H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.
