Obituary for Albert C. Civarelli
Albert C. Civarelli, 79, of Mehoopany, passed away Friday, September 2, in Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore.
He was the loving husband of Joann M. (Kowalski) Civarelli. They were married on March 4, 1972, and celebrated 50 wonderful years of marriage together.
Born in the Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Vincent J. Civarelli and the late Loretta (Milianta) Civarelli.
Albert was a sales representative for several food companies for over thirty years. Prior to that, he worked as a mechanic for Royal Imports in Wilmington, DE. Albert was a die-hard Elvis fan, and even attended some of his concerts during his career. He also enjoyed watching the New York Yankees, Green Bay Packers, and Philadelphia Flyers. He was an animal lover, especially wolves, and always enjoyed nature and the outdoors. He is survived by his loving pet dog, Sasha. Most of all, he was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all his friends and family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Gina Crowley and her husband John of Sciota; three sisters, Grace DiSabatino of New Castle, DE, Nicasia Civarelli of Hockessin, DE, Loretta Civarelli of Middletown, DE; three grandchildren, Luke, Travis, and Gretchen Crowley; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Vincent V. Civarelli, and a brother-in-law, Anthony "Sabby" DiSabatino.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 10 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville. Memorial services will follow at 1:30 PM with Rev. Robert Simon officiating. Full military honors will follow the service. Interment of the cremated remains will be scheduled on a later date at the convenience of the family.
