Obituary for Anthony D. Porter Jr.

Anthony D. Porter, Jr. was unexpectedly called home by the Lord on Friday, December 9th, 2022 at the age of 24.

Anthony was born in Atlanta, GA on Friday, June 30th, 1998 to Anthony Sr. and Felicia Porter.
From the beginning Anthony kept his family busy he was a bundle of energy, had a playful spirit and loved trucks and his dad. As a boy, you could count on Anthony’s name being called a million times because he either jumped in the air one time too many or did a daring stunt he saw on TV.

Anthony was homeschooled all the way through high school becoming a talented writer and exceptional speaker. He was naturally athletic and could dance well.

Anthony was affectionate, playful and charismatic, he was able to make anyone laugh and never had a negative word about anyone. He always looked for the light in everybody he touched and was an optimist. He believed everything would work out even in the dimmest situations. He believed in family, loved his siblings and didn't let anyone say a word about his mom.

As a teen, Anthony and his family relocated to Pennsylvania where he excelled in karate earning several belts and participating in multiple tournaments. Anthony graduated high school in 2016 where he enrolled at Northampton Community College. Anthony always had a free spirit and his quest to experience life in such a short amount of time led to him relocate to New York at just 18 years old.

Anthony was a young man of many passions including travel, music, dance, and history. In October 2021 Anthony’s son Camryn was born and became the light of his world with nothing ever too big or too small for his son. He was on a pursuit to provide the values and love he was given as a child to his own up until his last days.

In June 2022 Anthony moved back to Pennsylvania to help with his family business and be closer with his family. During his time home he touched his siblings and parents, each in a unique way and created lasting memories.

Anthony will be lovingly remembered by his family, his son Camryn, parents Anthony Sr. and Felicia, siblings Brittany, Brandon, Amber, Aaron, Angela, Devon, Dontay, Brandyn, Keontre, Darius, Jahlil. Grandparents, Morris, Patrina, Maria, aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of other family, friends and family dog.
