Obituary for Astrid J. Tolud
Astrid J. Tolud, 64, of Allentown, passed away Wednesday, May 10, at St. Luke's Hospice House, Bethlehem.
Born in Parimaribo, Suriname on October 9, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Walther Tolud and the late Delia (Boldewijn) Tolud.
Astrid was of Christian faith and was a servant of God. She raised her daughter in church and showed the importance of a relationship with Christ. She never judged but made sure the right decisions were made. She supported everyone the best way she could, and she was very loving and soft and had a laugh that made everyone follow suit. Astrid loved reading books, suspense movies and drama series. She spent her leisure time crocheting many projects and sewing. She loved to travel and explored as many places as she could with her favorite place that she visited being Hawaii. She loved to cook for many people to enjoy her food and be surrounded by love. If it was her last and if she was able to give it she would. She was loved by all family and friends and will forever be remembered.
She is survived by her daughter Abigail Tolud-Peterson, her grandchildren, Tracey Rodgers, Ares Peterson, Azari Peterson, and Taraji Peterson will all continue her legacy. Her brother Robin Tolud and sister Marcia Tolud continue the Tolud name with their families.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 1:00 PM located at 100 Dream Dr., Wind Gap, PA 18091.
