Obituary for Barbara Ann Lavin (Hubert)
Barbara Ann Lavin, 89, of Effort, passed away Thursday, November 4 in St. Luke's Hospital - Monroe Campus.
She was the loving wife of the late Anthony Lavin.
Born in Newton, NJ, she was the daughter of the late William J. Hubert and the late Helen A. (Fadway) Hubert.
Barbara was a waitress at local restaurants and resorts for several years. She was of the Catholic faith. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all her friends and family.
She is survived by two sons, Allen Lavin and his wife Electa of Effort, Anthony Lavin and his wife Cindy of Effort; a sister, Loretta of Rockaway, NJ; and two grandchildren, Edward and Jennifer Applegate. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Sola, a son, Robert Lavin, and a brother, William Hubert.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 10 at 12:00 PM in Gilbert Cemetery. Cremation will take place in H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
