Obituary for Barbara Meinhart (Green)
Barbara Meinhart, 86, of Huntersville, NC and formerly of Walnutport, passed away on August 30, 2021 in NC.
She was the wife of the late Willard Meinhart.
Born February 20, 1935 in Palmerton, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Bertha (Rissmiller) Green.
Barbara worked as a secretary at Keystone Lamp for twenty three years before retiring in 1989. After her retirement from Keystone Lamp, she was the secretary at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bowmanstown for several years, where she was also a long-time member.
Barbara was an avid crafter and sewer and enjoyed making heirlooms that her family will always cherish. Her family will also always be grateful to Nana and Pop-Pop for the many wonderful holiday memories they shared in their home.
Barbara is survived by two sons, Brad and his wife Rebecca of Bowmanstown and Mark and his wife Mary of Bowmanstown; a daughter, Kimberly Stauder and her husband William in NC;;a sister Doris Rehrig of Bowmanstown; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Nelson and Harvey and by two sisters, Evelyn and Betty.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 2 at 11:00 AM from Jerusalem Lutheran Cemetery in Trachsville with Rev. David Felker officiating.. Interment of both Barbara's and Willard's cremated remains will follow.
The Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, is in charge of arrangements.
