Obituary for Betty J. Argot (Campbell)

Betty J. Argot, 94, of Pocono Lake, passed away Monday, November 29 in Spring Village @ Pocono in East Stroudsburg.

She was the loving wife of the late Paul M. Argot. They spent 72 wonderful years of marriage together.

Born in Hartman, CO, she was the daughter of the late John Campbell and the late Florence (Merkle) Campbell.

Betty was a bank teller for twenty five years at Northeastern Bank and PNC Bank in Blakeslee. She was an active member of Pocono Lake Wesleyan Church. She held several office positions, and was the organist and pianist for the church for many years. She was also an election worker at Tobyhanna Township for many years. Most of all, she was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all her friends and family.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Mellow and her husband John of Pocono Lake, Nancy Boileau and her husband Tom of Middlebury, CT; a son, Ronnie Argot and his wife Sherrie of North Rome; a brother, Myron Campbell and his wife Celestia of Penns Creek; seven grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Robert Campbell.

A viewing will be held on Friday, December 3 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM from the Pocono Lake Wesleyan Church. Funeral services will follow at 11:30 AM with Rev. Michael Voit officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Rest Cemetery, Pocono Lake.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pocono Lake Wesleyan Church, 203 Spur Road, Pocono Lake, PA 18347.
