Obituary for Betty Mae Williams (Walters)

Betty Mae Williams, 95, of Saylorsburg, passed away Saturday, December 31, in Whitestone Health Care Center, Stroudsburg.

She was the loving wife of the late Chauncey Williams.

Born in Nazareth, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Walters and the late Sarah (Bittenbender) Walters.

Betty was a loving homemaker for most of her life. She enjoyed crocheting, loved listening to polka music, always had a word search by her side, and loved taking trips to Lancaster with her son to visit friends. She was a sweet and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all her friends and family.

She is survived by a son, LeRoy Williams; her grandchildren, Jason Williams and his wife Julie, Matthew Williams, Samantha Williams and her companion Lee Adams, Josette Wright, Madeline Roman; and five great grandchildren, Riley, Asher, Macenzie, Bailie, and Everly. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Maria Wright.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 10, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mt. Eaton Church, Saylorsburg. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM with Rev. Joseph Cain officiating. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, Bethlehem.

The Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville, is in charge of the arrangements.
