Obituary for Catherine P. "Mama" Cintron (DiGiulio)

Catherine P. "Mama" Cintron, 64, of Albrightsville, passed away Thursday, December 9 in St. Luke's Hospital - Carbon Campus.

She was the loving wife of Rene Cintron. They would have celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary this coming January.

Born in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Ernest DiGiulio and the late Catherine (Hayward) DiGiulio.

Catherine was a radiology technician at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Pocono for several years. Her husband, Rene, was her soulmate, first meeting each other at twelve years old. She always took care of everyone in the family. She adored her grandchildren, who always referred to her as "Mama". Most of all, she was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all her friends and family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Anthony Cintron and his wife Consuelo of Albrightsville; two daughters, Cathy Cintron and her husband Rob of Albrightsville, Janette Cruz and her husband Michael of Hershey; a brother, Ernest DiGiulio of FL; a sister, Victoria Sheehan and her husband Edward of FL; eight grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Michael DiGiulio.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 21 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville, PA 18322. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM with Rev. Robert Simon officiating. Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 22 at 11:30 AM in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
