Catherine "Cass" A. Dotter, 93, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 6, at Country Meadows in Bethlehem.
She was the loving wife of the late James Dotter. They celebrated many wonderful years of marriage together before his passing in 2008.
Born on January 7, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Fred Tittle and the late Nettie (Overpeck) Tittle.
Cass was a member of St. Matthew's UCC in Kunkletown. She retired from Valerie Fashions as a sewing machine operator. She enjoyed country music, the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles, NASCAR, Wrestling, soap operas, and playing Bingo. Cass lived life to the fullest and was loved by many. She loved being with family and friends and always had a smile on her face. Most of all , she was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all her friends and family.
She is survived by her sisters, Helen Rissmiller and her husband Clark, Ethel Manoway, Joan Becker and her husband Barry; grandchildren, Magen Snyder and her husband Glenn, Mark Bittenbender and his fiancée Brandy, Troy Bittenbender and his wife Filomena, Lynn Handlovic and her husband Curt, Michelle Bonser and her husband Bryon; and many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Gene Bittenbender, Larry Bittenbender; four brothers, Robert, Richard, Carl, Harold; and three sisters, Bessie, Jean, and Gladys.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, May 11 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM with Rev. Suzanne Brooks-Cope officiating. Burial will follow in Buena Vista Cemetery, Brodheadsville.
