Obituary for Catherine P. Lopresto (Wetzel)

Catherine P. Lopresto, 89, of Palmerton and formerly of Kunkletown, passed away on Sunday, February 17 in her home.

She was the wife of the late Floyd Frantz and the late Frank Lopresto.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Katie (Hess) Wetzel.

Catherine had worked at Scotty's Fashions in Kresgeville for thirty seven years before retiring and later she worked at Burger King in Brodheadsville for seven years before retiring from there in 2010.

She was a member of St. Matthew's United Church of Christ in Kunkletown and she was a very active member of the church's Layman Fellowship. She was also a member of the American Legion in Gilbert and the American Legion in Weissport, the Kunkletown Volunteer Fire Co. and the West End Ambulance Assn.

She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Frable of Kunkletown and Wanda Buck of Palmerton; five grandchildren, Jeffrey Buck Jr., Stephanie Buck, Lisa Eberhart, Jeffrey Frable and Pat Frable; five great grandchildren, Gracie Anne Buck, Cheyenne Eberhart, Caitlyn Eberhart, Cord Eberhart and Heather Frable Tolbert; nephews, Carl Derr and Donald Derr; nieces, Nancy Hartman, Darlene Geiger and Sandy Isamoyer and her dog Dutchess. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her companion of seven years, Robert Green.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 23 at 1:00 PM from St. Matthew's United Church of Christ with Rev. Suzanne Brooks-Cope officiating. Private interment will take place in Jerusalem Lutheran Cemetery in Trachsville.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Matthew's United Church of Christ, 102 Church Road, Kunkletown, PA 18058.
