Obituary for Charles J. Smith

Charles J. Smith, 70, of Kunkletown, PA Graduated into the presence of God and the glory of Heaven on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem, PA surrounded by his wife and children.

He is survived by his wife and best friend Mary, and their children, daughter Kristin,
son Adam and wife Brette (nee Simmons), daughter Darlene and husband James Dierkes, son Luke and wife Shanna (nee Hughart). As well as their 8 grandchildren,
Norah, Everette, Susannah, Liam, Nathan, Charlotte, Marlow and Maisy.
His surviving siblings are Susan Aull, Sara Coder, Anne and husband Mike Simeone, Gregory and his partner Laurie Reische, John and his partner Jackie Hurd,
many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and extended family members.

He is predeceased by his father and mother, Edwin and Phyllis Smith, brother Edwin, sister Mary, sister Margaret and brother in law James Coder.

Charlie was a NYC Steamfitter for 50 years as well as being former co-owner of Victor's Stationary & Candy Store in the Throggs Neck section of the Bronx where he was born and raised.

He was completely devoted to God and his family. He loved being a Fitter, Playing with his Grandchildren, Tanning in the pool, Fishing, Gardening, Tinkering and making MacGyver look like an amateur. He was also very fond of the chipmunks and literally had them eating out of his hands!

We are extremely blessed to have had him in our lives, and we will continue the legacy of Faith that he has instilled in us all. He is deeply loved and missed, until we meet again.
