Constance M. Keiper, 63, of Effort, passed away on Sunday, April 21 in her sister's home.
She was the loving wife of the late Floyd E. "Sonny" Pugh. They celebrated 22 years of marriage together before his passing in 2012.
Born in East Stroudsburg, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Keiper and the late Meryl (Bond) Keiper.
Constance was a dispatcher for the state police in Fern Ridge for over 20 years before retiring in 2002. After retiring from the state police, she worked for Rite Aid in Brodheadsville as a pharmacy tech.
She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. She also loved her dogs. She will be deeply missed by all of her friends and family.
She is survived by a step-son, Dale Pugh of Kunkletown; a step-daughter, Jacqueline Pugh of Reeders; and a sister, Cindy Roberts of Long Pond. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Keiper Sr. and a sister, Cathi Jo Gondell.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 24 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Scott Fobare officiating. Cremation will follow in H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.
