Obituary for David Held
David Held, 63, of Nazareth, passed away Wednesday, May 31, at St. Luke's Hospital - Anderson Campus.
Born in Bethlehem, he was the loving son of Beverly Nanne (VanWhy) Held and the late Leo Thomas Held.
David was an Air Force Veteran and served his country for over twenty years. He earned the rank of Technical sergeant and worked as an electrical power production craftsman for the military. He was a loving and caring husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all his friends and family.
In addition to his mother, Beverly, he is survived by his ex-wife of twenty years, Sheila Held; a brother, Russell Held and his wife Sherry of Nazareth; and a nephew, Thomas Held. Along with his father, Leo, he was predeceased by a brother, Richard Held.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, June 6, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Dale Sattizahn officiating. Cremation will follow in H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.
