Obituary for David Joseph Schreiber
David J. Schreiber, 76, of Albrightsville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, August 23, at Hackensack University Medical Center.
He was the loving husband of Harriet (Kenyon) Schreiber. They celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary in March.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Dr. Sidney Schreiber and the late Rita "Pat" (Stafford) Schreiber.
David was a supervisor for the Department of Environmental Protection in New York City for many years. He was very active in his community, and recently was serving as the Emergency Management Coordinator of Tunkhannock. Most of all, he was a loving and caring husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all his friends and family.
In addition to his wife, Harriet, he is survived by two children, three sisters, six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Monday, August 28, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jason Vanderburg officiating. Burial will follow in Buena Vista Cemetery, Brodheadsville.
