Delphine A. Howell, 81, of Kresgeville, passed away on Sunday, September 16 in St. Luke's Hospital-Monroe Campus.
Born in Kresgeville, she was a daughter of the late Wilbur A. and Arlene (Borger) Johnson.
A 1954 graduate of Polk Township High School, Delphine had worked at Scotty's Fashions in Kresgeville for over twenty years before retiring. She was also a waitress at Cherry's Sunset Diner in Kresgeville for many years.
She was of the Lutheran faith.
She is survived by a daughter, JoAnn Howell of Kresgeville; a son Tom Howell of Kresgeville; three brothers, Carl Johnson of Snydersville, Clark Johnson of Palmerton and Earl Johnson of Klecknersville; two sisters, Mary Ann Barber of Albrightsville and Carol Smale of Kunkletown; seven grandchildren, Mark Versuk, Jennifer Hayes, Natisha Versuk, Kayleigh Howell, Brina Howell, Rory Howell and Rowan Howell and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter Ellen Ginder, a son Terry Howell and by a brother, Lee Johnson.
Memorial services will be held at 8:00 PM on Thursday, September 20 from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, with Rev. Deborah Scheffey officiating. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
